MADO Turkish Restaurant is looking for a an Assistant manager / Restaurant manager for its second location in London, ON.
This full-time position requires flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be reporting to the CEO of the company. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the restaurant's daily operations at the assigned location. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving sales and act proactively to attract customers.
- Hiring, training, and supervising restaurant staff, ensuring high customer service is maintained.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve overall restaurant operations, including sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Overseeing inventory management, ordering, and maintaining all supplies, equipment, and ingredients.
- Creating and maintaining work schedules for staff, ensuring adequate and cost-effective coverage at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
- Working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure menu items are prepared to high standards and promptly.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment, ensuring sanitation and safety standards compliance.
- Ensuring equipment maintenance is carried out as per the required schedule.
The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be required to obtain a Food Handler certificate.
Requirements:
- A salesman, who can surprise us with the ability to speak with guests, build relationships and nurture a welcoming environment.
-At least 5 years of experience in sales, restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Multitasking and ability to work under pressure
- Criminal record check
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations about the restaurant industry in London and Ontario
- Proficiency in restaurant software, such as POS systems and inventory management tools, is an asset.
Education and certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- A Food Handler certificate is required.
This is a full-time position that requires flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
